(perhaps as late as 406 [or as early as 380?]–ca. 450). B. Forum Cornelii, near Imola, It.; bp. Ravenna perhaps ca. 431; famed as orator (hence Gk. Chrysologos, “golden-worded”); opposed Monophysitism.
