Oils, Holy.

Oils used in liturgical ceremonies. In RCm: oil of catechumens (olive oil applied before Baptism), chrism (olive oil and balm applied after Baptism, at confirmation, at conferring holy orders [see Hierarchy]), and oil used at various consecrations and blessings. Blessed, or consecrated, on Maundy Thu. See also Myron.
