Burgdorf, near Bern, Switz.; Ref. pastor Switz.; opposed Ref. doctrine of predestination as presented 1586 at the Colloquy of Montbéliard*; deposed 1588; subscribed FC at Tübingen 1588; pastor Derendingen; prof. Wittenberg 1592; adopted view that man must make universal election and calling sure by repentance and faith; dismissed 1594; exiled 1595.
