(Gabrielli; ca. 1510–86). B. Venice, It.; organist, composer; taught his nephew G. Gabrieli* and H. L. Hassler*; organist St. Mark's, Venice; master of polyphony; representative of Venetian* school of ch. music. Works include madrigals, motets, and compositions for organ and instrumental ensembles.
