Bachmann, Johannes Franz Julius.

(1832–1888). B. Berlin; d. Rostock. Pupil of Tholuck and Hengstenberg; taught at Berlin 1856; prof. and U. preacher Rostock 1858; noted for knowledge of Luth. hymnology, biographer of Hengstenberg, and thorough work on the festival laws of the Pentateuch and on Judges 1–5.
