(1525/26–94). Composer; b. Palestrina (ancient Praeneste), Roma prov., Latium, cen. Italy. Maestro di cappella, Capella Giulia, Rome, 1551; St. John Lateran 1555–61; Santa Maria Maggiore 1561.
