Musäus, Johann(es)

(1613–81). Great-grandson of S. Musäus*; brother of P. Musäus*; b. Langewiesen, near Arnstadt, Ger.; prof. Jena 1643; defended Lutheranism against RCs, Reformed, sectarians, deists, pantheists; charged with syncretism; signed a statement condemning all syncretism. Works include Introductio in theologiam.
