After the defeat of Prussia by Napoleon 180105, Frederick was roused by nation to oppose France, but was defeated at Jena and Auerstedt 1806; his kingdom dismembered by Treaty of Tilsit 1807; Prussia restored by victory at Leipzig 1813 and Blücher's victories.
