Edmeston, James

(1791–1867). B. Wapping, London; surveyor, architect, hymnist; joined Angl. Ch.; warden St. Barnabas Ch., Homerton, Middlesex; interested in the London Orphan Asylum; fondness for children inspired many children's hymns. Hymns include “Savior, Breathe an Evening Blessing.”
