Formed after WW I as a section of the Allgemeine Evangelisch-Protestantische Missionsverein, of which it was a part till 1939. Collaboration with the Swiss and Ger. bds. alternated with the ebb and flow of the tides of war, leading finally to closer connection with the Swiss than with the Ger.; no miss. stations of its own.
