(Wtenbogaert; January Utenbogaert; 1557–1644). B. Utrecht, Neth.; educ. Utrecht and Geneva; pastor Utrecht 1584–90, The Hague 1591–1618; organized Remonstrants* in Antwerp; banished 1619; lived at Rouen, Fr., 1621–26; returned to Neth. Works include Kerckelicke Historie; helped write Remonstrantie (1610).
