(1724–74). Ev. theol.; b. Charlottenburg (now part of West Berlin), Ger.; prof. Frankfurt an der Oder; accepted Bible and Confessions but regarded natural revelation as sufficient for salvation. Works include Beweis, dass Gott die Menschen bereits durch seine Offenbarung in der Natur zur Seligkeit führt; Der thätige Gehorsam Jesu Christi untersucht. See also Lutheran Theology After 1580, 8.
