Sava

(Sabas; Rastko; ca. 1169/76–ca. 1235/36). Serbian nat. saint; fled to Mount Athos, Greece, 1193 and est. the Serbian monastery Chilandar(iu) (or Hilandar); organized autocephalous ch. of Serbia with Sava as abp. 1219.
