Moses of Chorene

(perhaps 5th c. AD; has been dated as late as the 9th c.) Acc. to tradition a native of Chorene, or Khoren, or Khorni, in Taron, a dist. of the Armenian province of Turuberan, and a disciple, perhaps a nephew, of Mesrob.* Authenticity of the hist. of Armenia that is assoc. with him is disputed.
