(1755–1807). B. York Co., Pennsylvania; studied theol. under J. H. C. Helmuth*; pastor in anti near Carlisle and York, Pennsylvania; wrote against Anabaptists (see Baptist Churches, 2; Mennonite Churches) and Methodists (see Methodist Churches).
