Am. 1849; pastor Saginaw, Michigan, 1849 to 1857; miss. to Chippewa (Ojibwa) at Gabitaweegama, ca. 14 mi. N of Brainerd, Minnesota, W of the Mississippi R., bet. the river and Mission Lake. After the August 1862 Indian uprising laid the miss. station waste, new headquarters were est. at Crow Wing, Minnesota; miss. work discontinued here 1868.
